The BCM Peru property is located on the coast of the Pacific Ocean outside of the capital city of Lima. A river runs along the edge of the property and swells as the rains come down from the Andes Mountains - a usual occurrence. This year, though, the river has flooded its banks and inundated the property. The entire campus - the Bible school, campground, playground, home school for the MK's, storage for ministry supplies, and missionary homes - are completely flooded. All 20 families (about 55 people) were evacuated in the middle of the night. While all the people are completely safe and being housed nearby, the property is not doing so well.
They need our help! Everyone left with just the clothing on their backs, not knowing when or if they will be back to retrieve personal belongings (or if there will be anything left to retrieve when the waters recede).
